The Duke Middle East Studies Center (DUMESC) offers funding for undergraduate, graduate and professional students, as well as Duke faculty.

These funds are intended to help the Duke community develop courses related to Middle East studies, travel abroad, conduct research and acquire foreign language and area studies expertise. Visit the associated links for more information about specific grants and fellowships.

The DUMESC event committee will review applications and inform applicants about funding status and any financial commitments our Center can make.

Duke-UNC Consortium for Middle East Studies

DUMESC is part of the Duke-UNC Consortium for Middle East Studies. The consortium combines the strengths of our center with those of the Center for Middle East and Islamic Studies.
