The annual Duke-UNC Islamic Studies graduate student conference, first held in 2004, continues to grow in topics and attendance with students from universities throughout the United States participating every year.

Each fall, a joint Duke-UNC graduate student committee determines the conference theme, panels, and keynote speaker. The organizing committee works with Duke and UNC staff to run the conference.
